Pick an app, choose a duration from 5 minutes up to a year, and confirm. The app can't be opened through the launcher, search, or shortcuts until the timer expires. ReClaim also suggests other apps you typically use alongside it, so you can block a whole group in one step.

A block is a fixed window you set upfront. A limit is a recurring cap, for example 20 minutes a day, that resets automatically each day (and week, if you set one). When you hit it, ReClaim closes the app; the block only lasts as long as you're at or above the limit, so raising the limit lifts it immediately, and lowering it takes effect right away too.

ReClaim closes the app automatically (if System-wide blocking is enabled) and shows a screen explaining the limit is reached, with more time available tomorrow, or next week, for weekly limits.

App Limits enforce a hard cap you set once and forget. App Reminders ask how long you intend to use an app each time you open it, then nudge you when that time is up, useful for apps you want to stay mindful of without a fixed daily rule. You can also cap the maximum any single reminder session can run.

Blocks are always time-limited and set by you, so they expire on their own, there's no way to get permanently locked out. Phone and other emergency-relevant functions are not affected by app blocking.

Simple hides an app from the launcher with no barrier to reopening it. Medium requires solving a quick challenge, like a math problem, before it opens. Maximum requires a harder challenge, designed to interrupt compulsive, on-autopilot opening rather than a deliberate decision to use the app.

No. Hiding only affects whether the app appears in ReClaim's launcher and how much friction stands between you and opening it. The app itself, and everything in it, is completely untouched.
