About

We think your home screen should work for you.

Most phones are built to maximize how long you look at them. ReClaim starts from the opposite assumption, that a good phone gets out of your way as often as it helps you.

Why we built this

Every default Android launcher, and every app on it, is optimized for one thing: engagement. More opens, more scrolls, more notifications tapped. That's a reasonable goal if you're selling ads. It's a bad deal if you're just trying to check the weather and end up twenty minutes deep in something you didn't choose.

ReClaim doesn't try to fix that with willpower or guilt. It fixes it with friction, placed deliberately. Apps you actually mean to use, your notes, your calendar, your messages, stay one tap away. Apps you tend to open on autopilot get a little harder to reach, in proportion to how much you want that friction.

What we're not building

We're not building a screen-time dashboard that quietly gamifies your usage with streaks and badges. We're not building a "focus mode" that nags you back into an app to keep a streak alive. Anything that rewards spending more time on your phone doesn't belong in ReClaim, full stop, that's the actual product principle we build every feature against.

Where we are right now

ReClaim is in active development, currently in final testing ahead of its first Google Play release. The core is done: app blocking, daily and weekly limits, intentional-use reminders, scheduled blocking, and three levels of hidden-app friction, all enforced system-wide with no ads and no account requirement. Leave your email and we'll let you know the moment it's available.

The question we ask before shipping anything

"Does this make it easier for someone to intentionally use their phone, or does it encourage spending more time on it?" If the honest answer is the second one, it doesn't ship, no matter how good it'd look in a changelog.
